Realistic release areas and release height values are very important for meaningful avalanche simulations with RAMMS. Therefore we recommend to use field observations and to check the release parameters with experienced people, knowing the investigation area.

Release areas can be drawn directly within RAMMS (2D mode) or they can be imported from a shapefile.

I try to import a release area shapefile as described in the user manual (GIS->Convert Polygon Shapefile->Polygon Shapefile to RAMMS Release Shapefile) and it doesn't appear in the project. What I'm doing wrong?

Thank you!

The problem was already solved, the reference system of the shapefile was not the same that the one of the project.
